What is an affiliate program? An affiliate program is a form of advertising, on the web, that rewards the affiliates for driving traffic to the advertiser or for subsequent sales.
Some affiliate programs use a multi-level marketing concept where consumers (affiliates) attract additional consumers. Some affiliate programs are multi-tiered, thus increasing the income earning opportunities for the affiliates (rewarded for their traffic and the traffic of affiliates they recruit).
Marketers have the option of developing their own in-house affiliate program or joining one or more of the large affiliate networks.
Affiliates have the potential to earn significant money, if done correctly. (definition provided by DefineThat).
What is indie affiliates ? A directory that showcases the small-businesses that utilize independent free-to-join affiliate programs.
Please read the terms and conditions for each program carefully. Some will offer a multi-tiered program. Others may have activity requirements.
