About Us |
| Janet (originally from Louisville, KY) is a retired engineer who is now a work at home mom. She's been fascinated by webdesign and started RescuedBooks in 2001 as a way of saving books from being shredded. |
| In 2006, she launched Favorite Online Shops to help promote unique home-based businesses. |
| As a companion site, Janet created Free WAHM Affiliates which is a directory of free-to-join affiliate or representative programs offered by home-based businesses. |
| But some of the home-based businesses had grown and were no longer home-based, so Janet wanted to include these as well. This results in a more encompassing directory of smaller businesses offering independent affiliate programs. This creates a portal where other website owners can easily find business opportunities. |
| Janet promotes the sites offline and online through top sites,traffic exchanges, business card exchanges, contest sponsor opportunities, and prize donations with more to come. |
